Description
This activity pack is divided into two sections: five activities for 5-7 year olds and five for 7-11 year olds. Most of the activities only require printing out some resource sheets, while some others require a sports hall, oranges or some paper plates for example.
The activities are as follows:
Ages 5-7:
- The tale of the orange juice (about Fair Trade and the food supply chain)
- One for you, three for me (about food consumption and inequality)
- Fair play? (about what is ‘fair’ and ‘unfair’)
- Rights in the classroom (about what makes a respectful environment)
- Exploring identity (about why everyone is unique and important)
Ages 7-11:
- We are all born free (about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
- Right up your street (about human rights in everyday life)
- Children’s rights picture quilt (about children’s rights)
- Refugees – they cam because they had to (about the refugee experience)
- Action for human rights (about standing up for those in need and letter writing)
