Free easy ways to save energy and money!
- Turn off lights, TVs, DVD players, Hi Fis, computers, plugs, phone chargers, etc. when not needed. Leaving equipment on stand by uses up power
- Check the central heating timer's settings in your home. There's no point in heating the house if no one's home
- Fill the dishwasher and washing machine with a full load. This saves water, electricity and washing powder
- Fill the kettle only with the amount of water you need
- Do your weekly shopping in one trip. This also saves you fuel
- Walk the 10 minutes to the bus stop rather than driving

- Buy the energy saving light bulbs
- Install thermostatic valves on your radiators
- Insulate your hot water tank, loft walls and make sure you have double glazed windows
