Strand Outline: Health and H.I.V/A.I.D.S


  1. Students complete a medical questionnaire.
  2. Students survey the medical experiences of older family members.
  3. Students examine the pattern and linkage between T.B. and poverty.
  4. Students watch an animation series on H.I.V and A.I.D.S.
  5. Students research and examine the causes and impact of H.I.V in Africa.
  6. Students design awareness posters on H.I.V and A.I.D.S for the school.
  7. Students engage in an exercise in order to gain a personal insight into stigma, exclusion and isolation.
  8. Students research other diseases of poverty such as measles or malaria.
